Training
You will experience a definite difference when training with an Ortho-Kinetics® Trainer or Therapist. The personal training industry is presently unregulated with no state laws in existence that require trainers to have any specific education, experience, or licensing. Although there are over 300 “Personal Trainer Certifications” available, the majority, are offered on-line, provide no hands-on training, and have no educational or professional prerequisites. You now have a choice to train with true health professionals you can trust.
Ortho-Kinetics® Trainers and Therapists are career professionals dedicated to education and training. They all start with at least a two year degree in the field of Exercise Science and study in Kinesiology, Functional Anatomy, Physiology, and Biomechanics. Candidates must then complete a rigorous 250 hr classroom study, extensive hands on training and apprenticeship program offered through the Ortho-Kinetics® Institute. This program is the most extensive educational and training program in the industry and produces top professionals in the fields of training and therapy.
The certification and apprenticeship process takes months or even years to complete versus a few days or a couple of hours as most “personal training certifications” do. Following graduation and some on the job training, Ortho-Kinetics® Trainers and Therapists are well equipped to provide exemplary service for their clients. However they are never done learning and are required annual continued education and practical training on advanced assessment methods, specialized manual therapies and specific corrective exercise techniques.
Based directly from the information discovered through our comprehensive assessment process, your Ortho-Kinetics® Trainer will select specific corrective exercise movements to help realign posture, correct muscular imbalances and improve movement ability. These performance based exercises can then be modified, sequenced and combined with more goal centered exercises and modalities to create weekly routines and long term programs that will meet your needs, accomplish your objectives and accommodate your busy schedules. An Ortho-Kinetics® Trainer’s skills in assessment, training and program design can be credited to the extensive study and training received through the Ortho-Kinetics® Institute.
Ortho-Kinetics® Trainers have trained to place an extreme focus on each element of exercise technique. Tailored to your body’s present abilities, they will modify and apply very precise alignment, positioning, range of motion, tempo, and breathing methods to each specific exercise movement you perform. You will learn to master these new techniques, develop greater body control and experience the difference while applying them. For our professional athletes and everyday people alike, we have learned that optimal results are best achieved from implementing specific exercises derived from advanced assessments that are performed with precise technique and integrated with specialized treatments.

When working with an Ortho-Kinetics® Trainer or Therapists you will also begin to appreciate the depth of their knowledge, the scope of their training, their attention to detail and consistent dedication towards providing you with exemplary service. They strive to empower you to obtain optimal results regardless of the frequency they personally work with you. To fulfill this mission they will plan to work with you as regularly or periodically as scheduled to best address your needs and accomplish your goals. They will help you to learn more and progress faster when possible to enable you to need only periodic re-assessment, treatments, programming and training. Their success as an Ortho-Kinetics® Trainer or Therapists is dependent on your success.
