A Fun, Social Aspect to Working Out…
I have worked out on a regular basis since I was in college. I had figured out what worked for me on the cardio side, but had never figured out the weight training part until I joined TELOS three and a half years ago and started working out with my Ortho-Kinetics® Trainer, Jessica Gore.
Jessica provided an overall assessment and put together a weight training plan customized for me. She explained that I needed to change my weight training routine every 6-8 weeks to achieve results as my body gets used to the same exercises. Jessica provides motivation and makes sure my form and technique are correct.
Jessica also helped me understand that I needed to do what works for me. For example, I used to always do my cardio routine, but often “blow off” my weight training when I was bored with it or in a hurry. Jessica suggested that I do my weight training first to ensure that I did it. This suggestion was perfect and works for me.
I also enjoy the friendly atmosphere at TELOS; from the staff to the other members. I have reacquainted with old friends and made new ones who help keep me accountable and provide a fun, social aspect to working out.
Consistency and frequency are important parts of my experience. I try to get to TELOS 4-5 times a week when I am not traveling. It has paid off. The results…? I was able to go down TWO jean sizes!! This proved to me that I found the right combination of weight training and cardio that works and provides results for me. Thank you Jessica and TELOS!!
