Facility Updates
Think TELOS for your next social or business meeting! A new Conference / Training room is being added on the lower level to provide another space for internal and external group gatherings. Scheduled for completion on June 6th, the room is 800 sq. ft. and will accommodate up to 50 people for theater style seating. Amenities will feature acoustical ceiling treatments, flat screen TV, surround sound, internet access, adjustable lighting, and decorative accents. Contact the Café for availability and scheduling.

In recent years there has been a large shift in the general philosophy associated with resistance training. We have moved from what has been historically aesthetic based training to exercise focused on performance. In the past, most people engaged in resistance training primarily to build bigger and better looking muscles. Today, the dominant trend is leaning towards utilization of resistance training as a means to attempt to improve the actual function of their bodies rather than appearance alone.

Member Spotlight – Kyla Martin
For the past 10 years, I equated exercise with pain. Although I was committed to exercising, I resigned myself to the fact that it would always result in lifelong pain given the degenerative disc disease in my lower back. Degenerative disk disease wears down the padding between the vertebrae affecting my flexibility and range of motion in my back.
